                                    KERALA FISH FRY    

                       This delicious crispy and spicy fish fry makes a great appetizer or a side dish to a meal. This goes well with plain and variety rice. This is an authentic Kerala recipe so that we use coconut oil for frying. It contains Omega 3 fatty acids.

INGREDIENTS

  • Fish - 1kg
  • Coconut oil for frying
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel powder - 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri chili powder - 2 tsp
  • Chili powder - 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt

TO GRIND :

  • Shallots - 5
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Coconut paste - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Coconut oil - 1 tbsp                                  

METHOD OF PREPARATION

STEP 1 : Clean the fish pieces .

STEP 2 : Grind all the ingredients, that is mentioned above as TO GRIND.

STEP 3 : Into the fish pieces, add all the masala mentioned above and the ground paste.

STEP 4 : Mix and marinate for 30 mins.

STEP 5 : After 30 mins, shallow fry the marinated fish with coconut oil.

STEP 6 : While frying, add curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves.

Tasty fried fishes are ready to be served !!!
